2019 has thrown in some interesting challenges along the way. It’s easy to forget that in the first quarter of year we were gearing up for Brexit with many of our customers stockpiling in readiness for all the uncertainties it presented. Now, at the end of year and with a decisive general election settling in we continue to look ahead to the challenges and opportunities the next deadline will bring.
Our team have continued to hone their sheet metal engineering skills throughout the year. We’ve had student placements gaining experience in engineering and marketing. And we were pleased to welcome on-board an apprentice in our tool room. We’ve celebrated service anniversary milestones, promotions and waved off long term members of the team as they embark on new opportunities.
The safety of our team is always our upmost priority, ensuring that everyone goes home safely to their families each day and so we’re proud to reach another year without any lost time accidents. As they say this achievement is by no accident!
Our Contract Manufacturing division is building from strength to strength as we work with more and more companies to help bring their concepts to life. The SubCon exhibition held in June provided a great opportunity to meet new customers and discuss how we can use our skills and capabilities to support their projects.
Our Washroom division has launched innovative new washroom products. The Platinum Colour range has helped businesses add a splash of colour to their washrooms whilst the Modulo Behind the Mirror system has helped maximise the use of limited space in washrooms. We’ve exhibited at shows in Dubai and are proud to support some of the new construction projects across the Middle East and bring a touch of style and quality to the washrooms.
Film crews have been regular visitors to our site throughout the year as we build our library of online video resources and our website is easier than ever to use. We’ve produced new brochures and literature all of which incorporate our new branding.
We’re always proud of our team and this year they have continued to go above and beyond helping each other, our company and our community. We’ve hosted charity coffee mornings and collected donations of everyday little luxuries for those in need. We worked with local schools help to prepare their students for the workplace with employability panels and mock interviews.
It’s been quite a year and we’re already gearing up for an exciting 2020 with new projects ready to launch in the New Year. So, as our team take a well-earned rest over the festive period we’d like to thank all our customers for your support and for helping us continue to strengthen both our business and UK manufacturing.
Here’s to 2020, wishing everyone a prosperous New Year.
