Our next major exhibition is the Hotel Show in Dubai. This will be our fourth year for exhibiting, building on the successes of the previous years.
Dubai has undoubtedly proven its credentials as one world’s most popular destinations for travellers. 2017 saw over 15.8 million overnight tourists, up 6.2% on the previous year[1]. This figure has grown year on year ensuring the city is on track to achieve its target of 20m visitors by 2020. There are currently over 100,000 hotel rooms in Dubai, and with the 164 new hotel builds currently underway this is expected to increase to 134,000 by the end of the year[2].
The Hotel Show provides us with the perfect platform to bring our brand and commercial washroom product ranges to life. It provides the opportunity for us to launch our new innovations and latest product developments whilst demonstrating our well established and proven ranges.
Our exhibition stand itself allows us to showcase our engineering skills. Not being ones to rely on a generic shell scheme we considered working with an exhibition stand company. But with the wealth of design experience we have in our own team we came up with the idea a few years ago of designing and building our own stand. What better way to demonstrate our skills than by designing the stand on which to showcase our innovations?
The design which has grown and developed over the last few years is thanks to Andrew Marsh, Design and Development Engineer. Andy joined the DI team over 10 years ago, bringing a wealth of experience gained in new product design and development, Andy joined as test engineer before moving into the design team.
Andy says ‘the stand design has developed from my original concept and whilst we look to improve it year on year it’s important for us to retain the overall look and feel so that our visitors instantly recognise us. Incorporating our latest innovations has been exciting this year. Designing, making and building our own stand is the ideal way for us to demonstrate our sheet metal engineering capabilities. We can prove the attention to detail we apply as well as our innovative thinking.’
‘This is the fourth year I’ve attended The Hotel Show and really looking forward to catching up with everyone I met at the previous events as well as meeting new customers, obviously all set in the beautiful city of Dubai, not that we get to see much of it unfortunately!’
The Hotel Show 2018 takes place 16th – 18th September hosted in the World Trade Centre in halls 2 – 8. The show is open daily between 10am and 6pm. Tina and Andy will be on our stand EB98 ready to greet you.
