As a leading manufacturer with over 80 years of experience, our mantra is to continually innovate and improve. At Dudley Industries, we are committed to sustainable manufacturing and improving the products we make and the way we make them. We have a responsibility to the environment, and we strive to consistently find new opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations, whilst continuing to exceed the expectations of our customers.
Following substantial investment, we embarked on an exciting new initiative to harness the power of solar energy, marking a significant stride towards sustainability within our operations. Our factory roof comprises of 1,155 solar panels, which is projected to supply approximately 40% of our annual energy needs. Using the power of the sun to provide electricity to our factory is a large step forward in reducing our carbon footprint.

The balance of energy required above what we generate on site is backed by 100% renewable energy sources. By integrating renewable energy, as well as our other sustainability initiatives, we are demonstrating that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand.
We understand that sustainability goes far beyond the energy we use – it’s about waste too. We’ve achieved a milestone of zero waste to landfill by converting 50 tonnes of waste into energy and recycling around 260 tonnes of waste material into new products. Our zero-waste policy ensures that none of the waste generated at our factory ever ends up in landfill.
LED lights conserve up to 80% more energy than traditional lighting, with 95% of their energy being converted into light, and only 5% wasted as heat. Whereas fluorescent alternatives convert 95% of energy to heat and a minimal 5% into light. In addition, greenhouse gas emissions associated with LED lights are considerably lower than conventional incandescent or compact fluorescent bulbs. With this in mind, we operate 100% LED lighting across our site, yielding substantial power savings.
Emitting less greenhouse gases and air pollutants over their lifespan than petrol or diesel cars, whenever possible, our team are selecting electric vehicles. We are also working towards electric charging points for our team and visitors.
To accelerate the rate of change and to continue improving our sustainability, we have a team of onsite SHE (Safety Health Environment) specialists who are dedicated to helping us take actions that reduce our impact on the environment.
Our manufacturing processes are aimed at optimal material usage, maximising yield from raw materials and natural resources to reduce waste, aligning with our goal of promoting eco-friendly practices throughout the entire production cycle.
Our range comprises mainly of dispensers manufactured from stainless steel which typically contains around 60% recycled content. This includes both post-consumer and post-industrial scrap, making it a highly sustainable material option. This high level of recycled content significantly reduces the environmental impact of producing new stainless-steel items.
Many of our other components, such as internal mechanisms can also be fully recycled at the end of their lifetime.
